I started off with the Moisturizing formula and conditioner and I did nothing to my hair for about a month except wash it. I found JR Liggett’s at our local feed/tack store and I thought I’d give it a go. My main problem was that the shampoo wouldn’t clean my hair and that I would have to sacrifice a clean scalp for frizz free hair. I have tried many shampoos from customized ones to ones specifically made for my hair type and nothing worked. I have long, thick, coarse, wavy hair which can get frizzy really quickly, as well as an oily scalp. It is very nourishing on the scalp and helps strengthen the roots with essential nutrients. It accelerates blood flow to the scalp, thus increasing hair growth. Native to Africa and India, this oil is well known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Coconut oil also contains Vitamin E, and is fantastic with skin disorders such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. The antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties found within protect from microbial infections than can enter through the pores. The fats present in coconut oil retain the moisture content of the skin, and help eliminate further losses. The main component behind our luxurious lather, coconut oil works wonders on the hair and scalp. It can also improve blood circulation to the scalp and stimulate hair follicles, giving you thicker, healthier strands. It prevents hair follicle shafts from narrowing by preventing DHT hormone production, letting you hold onto your hair longer. Olive oil fights hair loss by helping control dandruff, fungi, and bacteria. It is a natural conditioner that makes hair shiny and soft, and is loaded with antioxidants to keep your scalp healthy. The remarkable benefits of olive oil have been known for thousands of years. WITH ALL NATURAL, SAFE, INGREDIENTS Saponified Olive Oil It is also used to relieve skin irritation, dermatitis, acne and itchiness and also helps to reduce skin redness, where inflammation is present, while at the same time having a cooling action. Peppermint Oil is added to stimulate and invigorate the scalp. Jojoba oil may help treat acne, both by reducing sebum production and by protecting the skin from harmful bacteria. Because the structure of jojoba oil so closely resembles natural sebum, it can actually trick the skin into producing less natural sebum, which, unlike jojoba, can clog pores. Jojoba oil can prevent the skin from becoming too oily. However, wax ester production steadily decreases with age, causing the skin to appear dull and emphasizing wrinkles a reduced ester content in the skin can also lead to the development of conditions such as psoriasis, dandruff, and rosacea. The body’s natural sebum also contains wax esters, which act as a sort of natural moisturizer and environmental barrier for the skin. Jojoba oil is actually composed of liquid wax esters rather than oil. In addition, the chemical composition of jojoba closely resembles that of the skin’s natural sebum, so it is easily absorbed and rarely causes allergic reactions, even in the most sensitive individuals. It actually discourages the growth of some bacterial and fungal microbes that attack the skin. Native Americans have long used jojoba oil to help heal sores and wounds. Jojoba Oil helps promote healing of the skin in many ways. Jojoba Oil leaves the scalp and hair follicles clean and free to continue their normal function. Jojoba rapidly penetrates down to the scalp and hair shaft, and readily loosens and dissolves this hardened build-up. If this hardened build-up is not removed, it can eventually obstruct the hair follicle's ability to function properly, which can lead to a loss of the hair shaft, and ultimately, death of the follicle. Many scalp related problems are caused by a hardened build-up of sebum that clogs the hair follicles and may cause some types of scaling. Jojoba Oil is an amazing primary ingredient that we use in our Jojoba & Peppermint Shampoo. Gift Box w/ 2 Shampoo Bars & 1 Conditioner Bar. I'm always wary when it comes to companies that claim to offer unlimited storage as there is no such thing (even if you would stack all available storage devices of this world, you would not have unlimited storage space). Being wary does not mean that you should not consider the offer, only that you should keep a local backup of files that you push to the cloud for emergency recovery. The infinite plan on top of that offers an unlimited number of file version changes to be stored on the servers, and chat & email support. For $99 a year (currently discounted at $69, also available for $10 per month) users get unlimited storage. What may make Bitcasa interesting to some though is the only paid plan the company is offering. All users who sign up for Bitcasa can join the free plan which provides them with 10 Gigabyte of online storage space. While that is less than Mega's 50 Gigabyte of storage for free accounts, it is still more than comparable services such as Dropbox, SkyDrive or Google Drive are offering to free users of their service. Copying simply copies the current files and folders to the online storage, while mirroring will keep an eye on the folder to sync any changes made to it to the cloud.īitcasa recently came out of beta introducing two plans to users of the service. On Windows, users can simply right-click a folder and select to copy it to Bitcasa or mirror it instead. They explain that sexual violence exists on a continuum that includes harassment, coercion, threats, and emotional and physical harm (see also Kelly, 1988). (1993) describe rape culture as the ideologies and systems that have normalized and condoned sexual violence. A rape culture condones physical and emotional terrorism against women as the norm.Ĭonsistent with other authors, Buchwald et al. In a rape culture women perceive a continuum of threatened violence that ranges from sexual remarks to sexual touching to rape itself. It is a society where violence is seen as sexy and sexuality as violent. It is a complex set of beliefs that encourages male sexual aggression and supports violence against women. vii) in their book, Transforming A Rape Culture: One of the most cited definitions of rape culture comes from Buchwald, Fletcher, and Roth (1993, p. Perpetrators are excused, and sexual violence is rendered acceptable, attractive, and inevitable ( Keller, Mendes, & Ringrose, 2018 Smith, 2004). In a rape culture, there are blurred lines around consent, male sexual aggression is accepted and encouraged, and victims are blamed for the violence they have suffered ( Phipps, Ringrose, Renold, & Jackson, 2018 Sills et al., 2016). Since then, scholars, activists, and others have conceptualized rape culture as “the social, cultural, and structural discourses and practices in which sexual violence is tolerated, accepted, eroticized, minimized and trivialized” ( Henry & Powell, 2014, p. ĭuring the 1970s, second-wave feminists began critiquing myths about women and sexual violence and introduced the term “rape culture” to articulate how society normalizes and condones sexual violence ( Brownmiller, 1975). Participants explained that rape culture extends beyond in-app interactions to in-person encounters, as evident by incidents of sexual violence that several participants had experienced and one participant had committed. A thematic analysis of interviews with 25 MSM dating app users revealed problematic user behavior as well as unwanted sexual messages and images as common manifestations of rape culture on dating apps. Liu Bolin’s images invite a game akin to Where’s Waldo?. Panic Button’s port of Rocket League to the Switch is an excellent example of a game that supports this argument. I’ve argued that the Switch offers unique opportunities for developers and players if the console is thought of as a home for games that play much better undocked than docked as well as a platform that supports both modes equally well. This is especially true if you want to play with friends who play on PC or Xbox One because, unlike the PS4, the Switch supports cross-platform play. Undocked play is a very compelling reason to purchase the Switch version of the game. If you want to play Rocket League on the go, the Switch is the only game in town and its smooth 60 fps frame rate guarantees that all of Rocket League’s exhilarating gameplay can be held in your hand. There’s no point when you can have the same gameplay experience with much better graphics on the other platforms. There’s no reason to play Rocket League docked on the Switch if you already have the game on PC or console. Undocked play is more than worth the price of admission. Most of these problems and more are present when playing undocked, but they’re less noticeable on the Switch’s small screen. The low resolution, poor texture filtering, and the blurriness introduced by anti-aliasing are too much to ignore when playing Rocket League undocked on a large TV. The graphics metrics are better for docked play than undocked, but the difference in screen size between the two modes negates the docked advantage. The result is a sharper but flatter image with more pronounced jaggies. Anti-aliasing is absent in undocked mode as are all shadows. Docked mode includes post-processing anti-aliasing which smooths edges at the cost of a blurry image. Texture filtering is markedly curtailed in both docked and undocked modes. Split-screen undocked fell as low as 432p with Digital Foundry speculating that it might go lower. Moreover, the game uses dynamic resolution scaling to maintain its 60 fps frame rate with the result that resolution frequently falls below 720pĭigital Foundry reported resolution drops to 648p in single screen and 576p in split-screen during docked play. This is an immediate visual downgrade for docked mode where the Switch can produce 1080p. Rocket League targets 720p in both docked and undocked modes. The Switch’s hardware is just too limited to do both well. Rocket League’s excellent 60 fps performance comes at the cost of a serious visual downgrade. |
